Today was the first day of classes. I'm taking a course about Spanish pop culture, and it seems really interesting so far. My professor speaks only in Spanish but he's easy to understand! After class, Mel and I had lunch at a cute little restaurant. It was a little pricey and we didn't love it that much, but it was a nice atmosphere! I got a cesar salad with some SERIOUS anchovie (sp?) flavor, which I didn't mind, but it was just over the top strong! Also got another toast thing-- goat's cheese, honey and nuts. Very good!
Last night after dinner we went to a Madrid favorite, a chain called El Tigre. It's the least like a chain I've ever been to-- doesn't seem to have any clean, corporate, chain-y feel to it at all. Anyways, if you order a drink there they give you plates of free tapas! Worth a try! Here are some pictures.
Today, after class I went to meet with my boss. After ward, I hung around downtown for a while, and found a Haribo store! I will definitely have to go back.
