Saturday, June 5th

Today we woke up early and headed out to Granada (about four hours drive) after breakfast at the hotel. On the way we stopped at a rest stop and I really liked the view! Also, check out the old cars parked outside!

We arrived at our hotel, which was very cute and WAYYYYY up in the hills (the whole city is basically built on a hill) and the roads were too narrow for us to drive up! We had a few hours of free time (which for me, meant pool time!) and then we went to La Alhambra de Granada, which is apparently Spain's most visited place! This palace/fortress was pretty cool! Check out the pictures (and the views!)!!!! When we got to the top of the tower, the wind was blowing like crazy and it was so beautiful! We were able to get a PERFECT view of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

After going to Alhambra, we went to the hotel (more time by the pool, dinner, etc...). Then was an amazing experience. We got picked up by a little tiny bus and taken to a cave (there are lots in Granada) to see the most amazing Flamenco dancing show. We sat in the tiniest little hole in the wall while this group of dancers did AMAZING stuff. I didn't bring my camera because I didn't know what we were doing after and didn't want to lose it, but I will steal photos from friends to post! AMAZING. Truly amazing.

Sunday we got up super early and hopped on the bus for a 7 hour drive back to Madrid. Everything is closed for the holiday, except of course Chinese restaurants, so Mel and I went to get chinese! It was delicious.

I hope everyone enjoys these posts! I took lots of food, animals and plants pictures!

Midterms tomorrow... time to study!
